In the late 1960's, as Porsche launched its now iconic 911 model, the factory supplied "Factory Rally Kits" which included anti-roll bars, racing brake pads and a dead pedal rest as optional extras to private owners. These "Privateer" rally enthusiasts would compete on the track on the weekend whilst still using their beloved vehicles for daily commutes.

This notion lead us to develop our Porsche Weekend Racer Series in 2013, now comprising a wide of range of classic Porsches that deliver safe, reliable, high performance motoring. No longer constrained to 1960's technology, we painstakingly rebuild our classic Porsches to concours level, integrating up to 5 decades of Porsche-only components.

Our Weekend Racers carry a unique mix of classic and contemporary Porsche engineering, wrapped in a Dutchmann-inspired package. Purists take note; ours cars are all Porsche. The 911/912 platform is highly modular allowing us to integrate more contemporary Porsche components into the classic '68 shell. Further, all of our cars are shipped with their original components retaining their growing market value.

Our Weekend Racers are painstakingly rebuilt by a team of 13 respective master South African craftsmen that comprise the Dutchmann network. Specific, specialist skills are used for each respective step in the process – from bodywork preparation, specialist paintwork, interior, performance and transmission, braking, and concours restoration.

We build our cars to perform both on and off the track. Whilst we respect the rapidly appreciating value of the classic Porsche 911 range, we firmly belive that cars were designed to be driven. Mr Ferry Porsche, speaking shortly before his death in 1998, saw the appeal of the 911 as follows: "The 911 is the only car you could drive on an African safari or at Le Mans, to theatre or through New York City traffic."

Our Weekend Racers are widely used in track competion, at the legendary Kalahri SpeedWeek and the Simola Hillclimb in Knysna South Africa. And to get the kids to school on time.

Our 1970 2.7L MFI Weekend Racer was placed 2nd in Class at the 2015 Simola Hillclimb in Knysna South Africa. Watch our 3-part video series featured on the iTunes 4K29 Automotive Channel.
